Perhaps you’ve seen ads for websites that say you can get free products on Amazon by writing reviews, but then they just spam your inbox with affiliate ads. I know of these sites from experience and they just become an annoyance. Well, this Amazon hack does NOT involve any email lists or answering survey questions to see if you’re a good fit. Step 1: Open Instagram and search #amazonfreeproducts
You can also search #amazonfreebies, #amazonfreeproductsforreview, #amazonfreestuff, or #freeamazonproducts. There are a bunch of other hashtags you can search as well with #producttester, but these are some of my favorites. I guarantee these hashtags will provide enough opinions to find a product that interests you. Scroll through the explore feed to find products that interest you. You’ll easily be able to spot which posts are offering free amazon products in exchange for reviews vs. other people just using that hashtag. They usually look like basic product shots with white backgrounds and the caption will say something along the lines of “refund after review is live” + several “free”, “review”, and “product tester” hashtags. You can also click into a seller’s page to see other free products they have available for product testing.

Step 2: Message the Seller
Once you find a product that you like, send the seller a message through Instagram inquiring whether they are still accepting reviews for that product. Step 3: Send Amazon Profile
The seller will likely ask you to send your Amazon profile for reference.
You’ll have to do this from a browser. From the dropdown menu next to your name, click on “Account.” Then, scroll down to where it says “Ordering and shopping preferences.” Under this list you’ll see “Your Amazon profile.” Click on “see what others see” and send that URL over to the seller.

Step 4: Amazon Search Keywords
If the product you’re interested in is still available, the seller will send you keywords to search on Amazon. Most of the time, they’ll send you the main keywords, who the product is sold by, and what the brand name is.
Then, you’ll go into Amazon and search for those keywords.
This can actually be relatively difficult, because sometimes it’s hard to find the correct product/seller on Amazon. There are A LOT of brands selling the exact same product and you have to make sure you’re ordering from the correct seller. Otherwise, you won’t get refunded.

If you can’t find the right seller but you find the right product, you can click on “New from other sellers” or “similar items to consider” on the product pages and find it that way.

Step 5: Confirm the Product is Correct
Once you think you’ve found the right product on Amazon, send the link to the seller via Instagram. Sometimes they’ll ask you to send a screenshot showing the brand name instead.
Make sure to do this step BEFORE submitting your order on Amazon. I ordered a product once and just knew it was the right item. Turned out it was the wrong seller, so I had to return that item and purchase another one.

Step 6: Purchase the Product
Once confirmed that you have the right item, go through with purchasing it on Amazon. The seller might ask that you do a little browsing through Amazon first to make it look more legit.
Once you have purchased the item, you’ll have to send the order confirmation # to the seller.
Step 7: Write the Review
MAKE SURE TO READ THIS!!!
This is obviously the most important step in this whole process, but there are a couple things you need to know first.
Do NOT write the review immediately upon receiving the product. The seller will most likely instruct you to wait a few days so that it looks more legitimate. BUT, make sure you’re within the window that you can still return the product. I’m not saying this because you should return it, just in case something goes wrong. I’ll share an example in the next step.

Step 8: Get Refunded
Once the review is live, send a screenshot to the seller. Sometimes it can take a few days for the review to go live on the product page. The seller should refund you immediately after your review has been cleared. They always ask for PayPal account information, so if you don’t already have an account set up, you should do this now.
Note: If Amazon thinks that your review is fraudulent (which has happened to me), there is a chance your review won’t go live. You’ll know this happened because you’ll see this message if you go to your product review page:
Unfortunately, they don’t really respond to this email. At this point, your seller will either pay you anyways or you should just return the item. This is why I say, TRY NOT TO OPEN THE PACKAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE TO.

Tips to Avoid Being Flagged by Amazon
- You are a product tester, so you should give your honest opinion.
- If you are ordering multiple products, do NOT order them together. You must order each individually. Also, you should space out the orders instead of ordering back-to-back.
- Before purchasing the product, scan through pages of similar products.

- If you get flagged, take a beat before trying to order / review another product. Your account might be flagged for a while.
